Egypt Lane

Known fondly as the pink house, for this home in East Hampton we added a generous vaulted addition, complete with a cupola over the kitchen island, a charming crooked staircase to the second floor, and a breakfast room offering sweeping views of the back yard landscaping. A fruitful collaboration with the interior designer resulted in the installation of a vintage pickled oak living room rescued from an estate in Rhinebeck, a built in curiosity cabinet in the dining room and a rich palette of stone slabs and painted paneling throughout. An English style country garden completes the re-imagining of this property, with a new pool, pergola and decks laid in repurposed bricks.
